Five years ago, Jacqueline learned about the dog meat trade in Asia. Though heartbroken, she knew that she had to be involved. That somehow she could be of service. After experiencing the joy of adopting a dog through Free Korean Dogs, Jacqueline knew she wanted to help facilitate the adoption of dogs in Vancouver as well as bring awareness to the public regarding the dog meat trade in Korea. Together we will make a difference.
Our dogs can be adopted to San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles areas, Seattle, Houston, and Vancouver. Please contact us for more details.

Spanky is an 11-year-old Dachshund available for adoption at the SPCA’s Vancouver location. Spanky has a sweet spirit and is looking for a caring retirement home with loving owners. According to the SPCA, Spanky needs a home with dog savvy humans who understand her sensitivity to touch. A home without kids is best for Spanky. If an adoptable dog is fostered locally in Lower Mainland Vancouver, applicants will get to meet the dog during the home check stage.

Most of the animals we have are dogs. But we also have rabbits, hamsters, budgies, and sometimes a guinea pig or even chickens! If you are looking for a smaller pet, contact us to see what we have available. (If you want to adopt a cat, contact Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association, other local municipal shelters or the BCSPCA.)All CROSS OUR PAWS adoptions begin with an application, followed by a home visit IF we feel the application is a good match for the animal. All CROSS OUR PAWS rescues are cared for in foster homes and in order not to be too disruptive to our volunteers, we pre-approve all applicants prior to a meet and greet. We recommend several meet & greets prior to adoption to ensure a "perfect" match. CROSS OUR PAWS will limit adoptions of our "special needs" animals to the Vancouver Lower Mainland areas so we can assist with any issues that may arise. It is also a policy if you have a yard, it MUST be FULLY secure at least in the rear. We do adopt to apartment/condo dwellers if strata permits and the dog is suitable to be in a multi-family complex living arrangement. Dogs who are posted by Vancouver Shar Pei Rescue are living or about to be placed in foster homes. Our Board of Directors is made up of Active Volunteers who foster dogs in their homes and screen our adoption homes. Click here to learn more about , and the in Thailand. The Vancouver-based rescue group also helps bring soi dogs to B.C. and currently has several up for adoption.Angelo, a Vancouver Labrador Retriever dog was adopted!
