Braces? Sometimes people want so badly to help Fido in every possible way that as soon as they hear braces for dogs exist they rush to buy a brace that Fido doesn't need and which might do harm. Please don't do that. Read about when braces are appropriate on the FAQ page. The FAQ page is linked in the column on the left side of all tiggerpoz website pages.

Now, Tigger is on strict bed rest while he heals. Although Good and her partner, Troy Riggs, are aware Tigger will be special-needs for his entire life, everyone feels confident that he’ll soon have wonderfully renewed function in all his legs (and wonderful potential to be a great therapy dog for children healing from surgeries and battling similar challenges).Tigger, a 2-year-old Staffordshire terrier mix, was born with a defect known as ectrodactyly in both of his front legs. This left him unable to walk on all four legs; instead, he hopped around much like a rabbit. Savin’ Juice Medical Dog Rescue group in Brooks, Ore., took Tigger in, where foster parents, Eve Good and her partner, Troy Riggs, soon brought him to their home. Good and Riggs decided to get Tigger help, and started looking for a surgeon while also working to raise the funds needed for the surgery. They estimated that the surgery would cost $15,000.A Disney Halloween costume selection featuring Winnie the Pooh characters wouldn't be complete without Tigger. Does your dog love to bounce as much as this jovial striped creature. You can outfit here in this Disney Halloween costume from the line. After a week of post-op, Tigger was given a temporary orthotic, and he took his first steps on one front leg. And, as the Statesman reported, dog and foster parent were united. It was a special moment, the paper wrote.Because of Tigger’s leg deformities he was very unsteady on his feet and in constant pain/discomfort but that never dampened his happy-go-lucky personality. I’ve never met a dog as happy as Tigger! We started taking him to physical therapy when he was just over a year old and he continues to go to PT each week. It’s been amazing to say the least, he’s much stronger and can move a lot easier and without so much pain.Name: Tigger
