Jeff McGough, my precious husband, best friend, my love and all that I could ever dream of, passed away at age 62, Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010. To Jeff, life was an adventure. Jeff graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Zoology. Moved to CA to help start NorthFace clothing, selling out for just enough to build his own log cabin back in IN. In 1973 he joined the Peace Corps and served in Salala, Oman as the Director of Fisheries. Upon returning to the states, he was hired by Cook, Inc. in Bloomington, IN. He grew companies for the Cook Group in Melbourne, Australia; Copenhagen, Denmark; and Spencer, IN. He followed this by helping create Freedom Machine, bought out by American BioMed in The Woodlands, and then again helping to create Technical Innovations " all medical device manufacturing companies. Ready for something different, he earned his Captain"s license and moved to The Florida Keys to teach sailing. He then bought a book distribution business tailored to supply special interest books about The Keys. Wanting to be closer to his son and his family, and to avoid any more hurricanes, he moved to the Hill Country of Texas just outside of Boerne, Texas. Set for something new once again, he bought a Bark Buster Home Dog Training franchise . . . always a lover of animals and teacher at heart. Jeff"s passions were his family, friends, and motorcycles, sailing, painting, cooking and building his homes. Jeff had a zeal for learning and sharing. His quiet presence was appreciated and his laughter was contagious. He is missed by his wife, Phyllis; son, Brandon and his wife, Mary; granddaughters, Ava and Mya; sister, Cindy and her husband, Jim; nephews, Justin, Sheldon, and Blake; brother, Greg and his wife, Barb; nephew Jason and niece Heather; sister, Laura and her husband, Gabe; mother, Martha; best friend, Randy Nentrup, who shared numerous adventures with Jeff. He is preceded in death by his father, Paul McGough and his grandparents, Pauline and Patrick McGough and Hans and Bertha Gundersen. Jeff was very proud to be a citizen of the United States of America as well as of Ireland. Memorial services were held at Faith Bible Church. The family asks that donations be made to the Hill Country Animal League. His loving wife, Phyllis McGough.
