I love that this has no grain in it. Dog Food Manufacturers need to be aware that pet owners are no longer going to continue feeding our pets with food ingredients that we don’t know about. It’s a bold move that a few have stepped up and are aware of what is being put in their food. Canidae is one of those, and we as pet owners are so happy that something is finally being offered that will not harm our pets. Thank you Canidae!
Purina Be Happy Dog Food receives the Advisor’s lowest-tier rating of 1 star.

There is such a thing as species appropriate food for dogs and cats, which are both carnivores. Cats are obligate carnivores and dogs are scavenging carnivores meaning that a cat can die without meat and a dog NEEDS a diet that is MAJORITY meat. Your dog is not getting a species appropiate diet no matter how you want to spin it and no matter how great your dog is and how well-behaved she is (something we never questioned in the first place). You are getting what you pay for with Gravy Train and again to RESTATE what Shawna said, disease does not happen over night. Your dog my look and appear healthy now, but all you are doing for her is allowing her to survive NOT thrive which is the ultimate goal. Sure your dog can live on Gravy Train and appear to be happy and healthy but I promise you you will end up at the vet twice as much as all of us and paying twice as much for food over your lifetime as all of us. Judging by its ingredients alone, Purina Be Happy looks like a below-average dry dog food.

For 10 years, we've been making delicious, healthy dog food and dog treats packed with nutritious ingredients, vitamins and supplements to help dogs run faster and squeak those toys like there's no tomorrow. Because healthy dogs are happy dogs and happy dogs are what we're all about. My 7 year old Corgi mix Chase suffers from an arthritic hip and luxating patella. We were suggested your food at the Hungry Puppy in Farmingdale, NJ. I switched Chase to your food about 4-5 months ago and since then he has been much happier, even playing again at the dog park without pain. Thank you and as long as we have Chase, he will be a Happy Hips dog.I am so happy I found your brand. I have a 2 year old Elkhound/Chow Chow mix. From the time he was a 9 week old puppy he had problems with yeast ear infections. To no avail for over a year or more I was battling ear infections and costly vet bills. I researched this issue online and found a blog that recommended switching to a grain-free/potato free food that would eliminate the growth of yeast. I started with the brands that were sold at the pet store because I didn’t see a brand that was grain free & potato free at my local grocery. This improved his ears greatly. Then about 6 months ago I found your brand at my local Giant Eagle/Market District in the Pittsburgh area and gave it a try. My dog loves the food and his ears cleared up even more than before. I no longer have to fight him to clean the ears as they have cleared up so much they actually look normal. Thank you so much!!!I was very upset when my local Walmart stopped carrying Be Happy products. My 3 cats which have weird eating habits actually started gaining weight and looking better. They started cleaning themselves again and looking healthier. My 2 older dogs actually put on weight and starting acting more alive then ever.
All these people who are complaining about what the product is made from apparently don’t have pets or if they do they are spoiled and only get wet food. For a middle class working women I can’t afford to buy my babies wet food all the time. Please start carrying Be Happy products again.Just as new parents speed-read through "What to Expect When You're Expecting" as they prepare to welcome their bundle of joy, dog owners would do well to hunker down and get to work reading the internet's best dog food blogs. There's nothing we wouldn't do for our dogs, and this includes uncovering the loads of tips available for keeping them healthy and happy. Unsurprisingly, what your dog consumes has the potential to dramatically affect their quality of life. Help them live the best life they can by arming yourself with the knowledge you need to make smart choices for your beloved canine companion.Later that night, I had to run to Target for laundry soap and thought I’d look for the Be Happy food, what I found was surprising, all the Be Happy cat food was gone and there was only two bags of the Be Happy dog food left. Obviously, the ads stood out to more people than just me.
